MEET THE TEAM
Helen
Throughout her childhood, Helen dreamed of working with animals After 14 years working as Primary School Teacher, she finally realised her dream by founding Tails 'N' Whiskers in 2015.
Helen graduated from the University of Hull, gaining a honours degree in Special Psychology including modules in animal behaviour. Inspired by previously owning a very reactive Westie, Helen is currently studying for an Advance Diploma in Canine Behaviour Management to provide behaviour support to her clients.
Helen has had dogs and cats throughout her life, as well as numerous other small animals (rabbits, guinea pigs, fish, gerbils, and mice). She currently lives with 3 border collies, a Romanian street dog, a Jack Russell, 4 cats, 2 children and a husband.

David
David is Helen's husband and joined Tails 'N' Whiskers in 2018. Dave has vast experience with a wide variety of animals having grown up with cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, mice, tropical fish, gerbils, chickens, budgies and a tortoise. He has a lot of experience with dogs and cats with physical disabilities including a blind springer spaniel and a deaf cat (Percy).
Having a male on the team is a huge advantage. Some dogs can be nervous around men, so Dave works hard with these dogs, gaining their confidence and trust.
Dave is a fully qualified pet first aider and holds a certificate in Canine Body Language.
